One of the chamber’s strategic priorities is advocating for policy and laws that support and protect the LGBTQ business community. The Colorado LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce centers its policy and advocacy work around two main areas: economic prosperity and civil rights in the workplace. Quite simply, we believe in equality for all no matter where you are on your business journey. We advocate for strong policies that preserve and enhance our business-friendly environment.
As you focus on working your business, we keep you informed of what’s going on at the capitol and how every bill will impact your ability to grow. We all have a voice, and as a community we have learned the importance of using it! Together our voices amplify LGBTQ business advocacy, achieving economic prosperity for all.
As a state, we have led the way on many LGBTQ issues, and it’s time for us to expand and become more inclusive for LGBT Business Entrepreneurs. Thanks to the efforts of all the LGBTQ Chambers and the NGLCC 20 cities and counties that have signed on to include LGBT owned businesses in public contracts, such as Los Angeles and Chicago. We couldn’t do it without you all. Republican states, like Tennessee and Kentucky, now include LGBT-owned businesses on public contracts. As a community, we will continue to generate positive growth and support for all cities.
